Innoptics designs, manufactures and sells laser sources for welding of thermoplastics.
The laser heads are based on an innovative concept using laser diodes.
The technology was developed originally for films, but the range of application has been extended to rigid thermoplastics.
These sources represent an innovative and cost effective alternative compared to other laser solutions, while offering numerous competitive advantages compared to conventional welding techniques.
They can be easily integrated into industrial machines.
A family of products, with various output powers and output beam characteristics is available.
Our laser sources are the outcome of many years of research on VECSEL (Vertical External Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers) technology conducted within IES Laboratory in Montpellier and LPN CNRS Lab in Marcoussis.
This technology ideally combines the assets of semiconductor lasers (reliability, compactness, wavelength agility) with those of DPSS lasers (coherence, beam quality, spectral purity).
Targeting numerous applications such as gas analysis, range finding, Lidar, wind sensing or scientific instrumentation, our laser sources are also wavelength tunable, while featuring a pure singlemode TEM00 beam.
Wavelength coverage is currently under development in the NIR (950nm-1100nm) and MIR windows (2.0 µm – 2.7 µm). Wavelengths around 1.55 µm are also under development and should be released soon.
Innoptics is specialized in the customized packaging of optical and optoelectronic components and subsystems.
